Morocco - 'Mediterranean Africa'
Morocco
nestles on the north-western tip of Africa, seperated from
the rest this vast continent by the towering Atlas Mountains
and the Sahara Desert. It's climate, history and geography
are more closely related to the Mediterranean than the rest
of Africa and for that reason, visitors are often struck
by the odd sensation of having not quite reached Africa.
In the north, it's fine beaches, lush highland valleys and
evocative old cities reinforce this Mediterranean impression.
Morocco's varied geography includes no less than four seperate
mountain ranges, lush river valleys, beautiful sandy coasts
and wide expanses of desert. The Moroccan coastline, which
fronts onto both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, offers
plenty of great beaches aswell as a number of fascinating
old coastal cities making it ideal for off plan property
in Morocco.
The
climate in the North of Morocco is reliably dry. The average
temperature in the summer is 29 degrees celsius. The months
between October and April are slightly cooler providing
welcome winter sun.
The Moroccan government have introduced several initiatives
to improve Morocco's infrastructure including major road
& rail development as well as construction of a large
marina and the introduction of low cost airlines. Over the
next three years a minimum of fifteen low cost airlines
will provide frequent flights to the international airports
of Oujda, Nador and Melilla. In addition to the above there
are many new services being introduced to assist buyers
of property such as firms specialising in Morocco
furniture packages as well as things like snagging etc.
